Curiosity

Target is full of good ideas. It's one of my favorite stores (a close second behind Costco). Now they've collaborated with retailer The Curiosity Shoppe in San Francisco for a unique, retro collection. These are the items in my shopping cart:
Milk Bottle

Plaid Dinner Plate

Salad Plate
Apron
Straws and swizzle sticks

And if you're curious about the retailer behind these goods: The Curiosity Shoppe

Summer Nights

Tree Camping near Elk, California
I saw this image floating around facebook. How did it take me 29 years to find out something like this existed! What a romantic camping trip! I'd love to do this with my husband or all three of us when Jack gets older.

Ghetto Fabulous

Kira Live and Cry in L.A. Onesie
Pamela Fugate Tote
Ghetto clothes for my baby (R.I.P. Tupac) and a ghetto fabulous tote for my books. My sister and I were teens in the 90s and embrace old school rap. This will be a perfect gift for her trips to the library. She LOVES big books.

French glitter manicure posted by Lauren Conrad

Glitter teaspoons from Leif
Glitter elephants from Wish Daisy
Anya Hindmarch clutch

My sister's mother-in-law - owner of a fashion line - is the ultimate hipster. She was sporting a glitter french manicure the other day and I thought that maybe I'll look cool like her if I tried one. It will definitely be my next manicure.
I think glitter turns anything ordinary into fabulous. The last picture is of the life-size Three Little Pigs I made for my sister's baby shower. They became a little fabulous with a dose of glitter on their clothes.

Strawberry Piña Colada

I've calculated that my annual popsicle consumption costs me around $120. And maybe more this year because I just discovered these Strawberry Piña Colada treats from Whole Foods' 365 Everyday Value - they taste like Lava Flow cocktails in Hawaii.
Happy Labor Day! We took Jackson up to a cooler Goleta, CA to visit one of our favorite places, Bacara. We showed him the spot daddy proposed to mommy two years ago.

Not too Shabby

She almost looks like a really cool homeless person. The image, from Free People's September catalog, is inspiring the shabby chic in me. The muted colors I would wear with my boyfriend jeans this Fall:

The Knit Kid Sweater
Zara Sweater
JCrew Swiss dot sweater
Yigal Azrouel cardigan from Forward
