Rikrak Stockings

I was so excited for our first Father's Day that I gave daddy presents on Saturday...couldn't wait another day. He loves all things plaid, so loved his swim shorts. He's such a guy - only owned one pair of trunks before yesterday. I can't even count how many bathing suits I own...almost every season I like to buy a new one.  My husband also wanted Christmas stockings for our family, and since his birthday is Christmas Eve, I thought Father's Day would be the perfect holiday to gift these. Then we can place them on our fireplace at the beginning of the holiday season.

The shirt is a gift from my in-laws. We painted Jackson's feet with non-toxic paint and stamped the back and front pocket. It made the perfect personalized gift.

The nursery is near completion. Our Dutailier crib and dresser just arrived. The skyline sheets match our sock monkey decal, and the garland is just to add a kick of color. My husband thinks it's feminine, but why impose gender stereotypes on a baby. Jackson doesn't have an opinion yet. Therefore, he likes what I like.

Date Night, 1

My husband asked what I missed the most since Jack was born...it's definitely romantic nights out just the two of us. Our first quasi date night was on Saturday...I wore heels and everything! We attended a coworker's son's Bar Mitzvah. We managed not to mention baby once during the first two hours. Regardless, it was hard to focus on just us when you're so freakin tired. Just want sleep, no fun.

I got teary-eyed when seeing the slide show at the party. He was only 13, but had such a happy family life filled with memories. This is what we have to look forward to.

Foxy Lady

My husband picked up this onesie for Jackson while he was in Philly, but I'm embarrassed to put him in it. A fox is too high of an expectation to live up to.
