I See Russia
Sometimes I'll sit on my husband's lap while Jackson sits on mine and we'll feel like a set of Russian nesting dolls.
I adore the humor in artist Emma Gardner's Matryoshka Mug Shot Print and the sweetness of these Matryoshka post-its and cards from JolinTsai. I'd like breakfast in bed on these hand-crafted trays. And who better than Beaky's little lady to keep your coins safe. She looks like she can be trusted...most of the time.

Silverware
I found JJEvensenArt to make my entryway quirky and ecofriendly - they reuse vintage spoons and forks to create hooks. My coats and hats love to hang there.

Tooth Fairy
Oeuf pillow from Noeuf |
I think the tooth fairy is a cute custom. I know technically, it's lying to our children, but it adds some fun to a painful process. From my memory, losing baby teeth was scary...especially when they didn't fall out right away and they'd be teetering by a thread. I'll likely keep the tradition of exchanging teeth for money. If he asks where the money comes from, maybe I won't tell him it was the stupid tooth fairy...maybe I'll tell him to use his imagination.
BTW, I think Jackson is teething at 4 months. He keeps rubbing his checks uncontrollably when he's nursing.

EyeSpy a Cute Sale
When Jackson was a little peanut in my belly last Fall, I spotted the turquoise elbow patch cardigan in a magazine at the doctor's office. I showed my husband and remember trying to talk him and myself into thinking it was gender neutral. My baby HAD to have it. I still think a boy could pull it off, even though the website's description says it would be great paired with one of their dresses.
It's on sale now, along with more Fall baby and toddler clothes at Eye Spy. I may have bought the last cardigan, so you can also purchase one here. The designer has such an unexpected mix of fun colors and stripes.
I went wild on their site yesterday. My husband and I agreed to spoil him until he's two and doesn't know any better. Afterwards, we'll shop at Goodwill and only spoil him with love.

Little Prisoner
My baby is a cuddler. He sure loves to spoon the bumper. I guess it provides extra warmth and security. Unfortunately, his arm goes under the bumper and gets stuck in between the crib bars...he can't get out from the position and wails. So my husband tried stuffing a thick bath towel between the bumper and the bars. It works most of the time. Now he sometimes gets his arm stuck between the bumper and the towel. Poor little prisoner.

Succulents
My mother has the gifts of a green thumb and the art of presentation. I have the gift of being able to recognize people with a green thumb and the art of presentation...and asking them for help. She took an asymmetrical white serving dish and planted these beautiful succulents with tiny pebbles and soil (the former since soil by itself would soak up too much water). This will be my centerpiece until I end up killing it.
